Pin & Putt earns a commission when you buy something through a link on this site. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change what we recommend.

Pin & Putt is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Our Amazon tracking identifier is type5golf-20.
Amazon is currently the only retailer we have an affiliate relationship with. Where we link to a manufacturer's own website — for a spec sheet, say — we earn nothing from that link and it carries no tracking.
How the links work
Every product link on this site routes through our own /go/ address before continuing to the retailer. That does two things: it keeps the affiliate configuration in one place rather than scattered through the pages, and it lets us count clicks so we know which recommendations are useful.
Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored nofollow" as required by search engine guidelines, and every buy button on the site is marked #ad with a link back to this page.
What the commission does not change
The incentive is real and we'd rather address it directly than assure you it doesn't exist. Three structural checks:
- Every product carries a stated reason it might be wrong for you.This is a required field in our content system — a product physically cannot be published without one. That includes the products we'd earn most from.
- We publish recommendations against buying things. Our golf ball guideincludes an entry whose entire recommendation is "walk past this". That link still earns if you click it, and we'd rather tell you not to.
- Prices are machine-fetched, not chosen.We can't quietly favor a higher-priced product by presenting its price flatteringly, because we don't type the prices at all.
What we don't accept
- No paid placements. Nobody can buy a position on a list here.
- No free products.We're not sent review units and we don't request them.
- No sponsored posts. Every page on this site is editorial.
- No display advertising. Affiliate commission is the only revenue.
About the prices
Prices shown on this site are fetched from Amazon's product API and stamped with the date they were checked. Amazon prices change frequently, and the price on the retailer's own page at the time of purchase is the one that applies — ours is a snapshot.
If our price data is more than 48hours old, the numbers stop displaying entirely and the buttons fall back to "check price". We would rather show you nothing than a figure that may have moved. The full mechanism is on how we pick.
Where disclosure appears
The FTC requires affiliate disclosures to be clear, conspicuous and placed before the link rather than buried at the bottom of a page. On this site:
- A disclosure panel appears above the first affiliate link on every page that has one.
- Every individual buy button is marked #ad and links here.
- A standing notice sits in the footer of every page on the site.
