How we pick

The short answer

The short answer

In golf, Black Friday reliably discounts the expensive electronics and the premium bags — laser rangefinders (especially the generation that was just replaced), GPS watches, launch monitors — and it does very little to the flagship tour ball, brand-new tech, or cheap accessories. So: hold the rangefinder, the watch and the launch monitor for late November if the gift can wait. Buy the balls, the gloves and anything personalized now.

Live deals

Deals will be posted here when they go live

Nothing is posted here yet, because nothing is live yet. When Amazon's Black Friday and Cyber Monday events open in November, this section will list only products the site already recommends whose live Amazon price has actually dropped — each with the current price, the list price and the percentage off, all pulled from the same price data the rest of the site runs on and re-checked within 48 hours. A deal that ends disappears from the numbers on the next refresh.

What you will not see here: retailer promo claims we haven't verified against a live price, "up to X% off" banners, invented "was" prices, or a countdown timer. If a product isn't genuinely cheaper than it was, it doesn't go on this list.

The pattern

What historically discounts, and what rarely does

Everything below describes what happened in November 2025, as tracked by Golf Monthly, SI Golf and National Club Golfer, with the figures they published. It is a record, not a forecast. We don't know what any retailer will do this November, and neither does anyone else writing a page like this one.

Reliably discounted in 2025

  • Laser rangefinders — especially the outgoing generation.Golf Monthly's 2025 tracking listed the Bushnell Tour V6 Shift at $312.99 against a $399.99 list at Amazon, and the Blue Tees Series 3 Max at $199.98 against $269.99. Bushnell has since released the Tour V7 Shift, which makes the V6 line the just-replaced generation this year — historically the one to watch. Our rangefinder guide ranks the current models.
  • GPS golf watches. SI Golf listed Garmin golf watches at up to $100 off, with the Approach S70 at $599.99 against $699.99. National Club Golfer tracked the entry-level Garmin Approach S12 at $149.99 against $199.99 and the Bushnell iON Elite at $149.90 against $199.99. See our golf watch guide.
  • Launch monitors. The biggest dollar drops on the list: SI Golf listed the Garmin Approach R10 at up to $200 off. Rapsodo took a different route, bundling a dozen free balls with the MLM2PRO rather than cutting its price — a pattern worth knowing, because a bundle is not a discount. The simulator guide explains which device suits which house.
  • Premium golf bags.SI Golf described Vessel's 20% sitewide as a brand that "rarely discount[s] their lineup this deeply," and tracked Sunday Golf at up to 33% off. Budget bags barely move, because there is little margin to move.
  • Golf shoes and apparel — prior-season colorways.SI Golf tracked TRUE Linkswear at up to 70% off sitewide. The catch for a gift buyer is unchanged: a shoe needs a size and a width, and a discount doesn't fix the wrong one.
  • Mid-price and prior-year golf balls. This is where ball discounts live. Golf Monthly tracked the 2023 Srixon Z-Star at $29.99 against $39.99, the Srixon Soft Feel two-dozen at $34.99 against $49.99, and the Callaway Chrome Soft at $44.99 against $54.99.
  • Golf clubs — the outgoing generation. We don't recommend clubs as gifts (they're fitted), but for the record: Golf Monthly's 2025 tracking had current-year drivers at $100-120 off and the previous generation at $150-200 off. Newer discounts a little; older discounts a lot.

Rarely discounted, or not by enough to wait for

  • The flagship tour ball.Golf Monthly's own words on the Titleist Pro V1: "these balls are rarely on offer." The 2025 deal was a two-dozen holiday box at $99.98 against $109.98 — ten dollars on two dozen. The TaylorMade TP5 moved by about $2.50. If a dozen tour balls is the gift, it costs what it costs; buy it when you need it.
  • Anything that launched this year. The pattern across every category is the same: the new model holds its price through its first November and the model it replaced takes the markdown. A small percentage off a brand-new flagship is not a deal, it is the normal price with a banner on it.
  • Cheap accessories. Gloves, towels, divot tools, tees, ball markers and headcovers cost what they cost year-round. Some carry a few dollars off at any given moment — the live price on every page here shows it if so — but there is no November pattern worth holding a gift for.
  • Personalized gifts. Not a discount question at all. Custom-printed balls and engraved items need production time before they ship, and a Cyber Monday order is a genuine gamble for Christmas delivery. Order these first, not last — the last-minute page explains what survives a late order.

By category

Buy now, or wait for November?

Our read on each product class, based on the 2025 record above. "Wait" assumes the gift can wait until the last week of November and still arrive; if it can't, the live price on the linked guide is what it costs today.

CategoryOur readWhy
Laser rangefindersWaitThe outgoing generation is the classic November markdown. In 2025 the Bushnell Tour V6 Shift and the Blue Tees Series 3 Max both dropped well below list in Golf Monthly's tracking.
GPS golf watchesWaitGarmin ran Approach watches at up to $100 off in November 2025 per SI Golf; National Club Golfer tracked the entry-level Approach S12 at $50 under list.
Launch monitors and simulatorsWaitThe biggest-ticket category and the one with the biggest dollar drops: SI Golf listed the Garmin R10 at up to $200 off in 2025. Rapsodo bundled free balls rather than cutting the price.
Golf bagsWaitPremium bag brands discount in November and rarely otherwise — SI Golf noted Vessel's 20% sitewide as unusually deep and tracked Sunday Golf at up to 33% off.
Golf shoesEitherPrior-season colorways discount deeply (SI Golf tracked one brand at up to 70% off). But a shoe still needs a size and a width, and no discount fixes the wrong one.
Premium golf ballsBuy nowThe flagship tour ball rarely goes on sale. Golf Monthly's 2025 tracking found the Titleist Pro V1 at $10 off a two-dozen holiday box, and the TaylorMade TP5 at about $2.50 off. Waiting buys almost nothing.
Mid-price and prior-year ballsEitherThis is where ball discounts actually live — Golf Monthly tracked a 2023 Srixon Z-Star dozen from $39.99 to $29.99 and the Chrome Soft from $54.99 to $44.99 in 2025. Worth a look, not worth a wait.
Gloves, towels, divot tools, tees, headcoversBuy nowThe amounts are small either way. A few dollars off a glove is not worth holding a gift for, and the live price on the site already shows any current markdown.
Umbrellas, gift sets, booksBuy nowWe found no evidence of a reliable November pattern in these categories. Buy when the live price looks right.
Personalized giftsBuy nowCustom printing adds a production step before shipping. The lead time matters more than any discount — a personalized gift ordered on Cyber Monday is a gamble for Christmas.
Push cartsEitherOur research found no consistent Black Friday pattern for push carts in 2025 coverage. Buy on the live price; check back here in November.

What to know

How to shop golf gifts through Black Friday without getting played

Know the price before the sale starts

The single most useful thing you can do before November is note what the gift costs today. Every product on this site carries the price we fetched from Amazon within the last 48 hours, so the tiles above are your baseline. A "40% off" badge means nothing if the number underneath it is the number it was in September.

The generation trick

In every golf category with a model year — rangefinders, watches, launch monitors, clubs — the newest model holds price and the one it replaced drops. For a gift buyer this is good news, because the outgoing rangefinder or watch is nearly always the better buy anyway: the same core job, a year of reviews behind it, and a real markdown rather than a token one. Our guides say which generation each pick is.

Bundles are not discounts

A launch monitor with a free dozen balls, a bag with a free towel, a rangefinder with a free case: these are ways of not cutting the price. Sometimes the bundle is genuinely what you wanted. Just don't read it as money off.

Shipping is the deadline, not the sale

Cyber Monday 2026 is Monday, November 30, 2026, which leaves under four weeks to Christmas. Anything that ships from a third-party seller, anything personalized, and anything that might need exchanging for size should be ordered earlier than that. The last-minute golf gifts page is built for the week you find yourself in when you didn't.

If you'd rather not wait at all

Most golf gifts on this site are not Black Friday purchases. The safest ones — a dozen of the ball they play, a glove in the right hand, a divot tool from a brand they recognize — cost roughly the same in November as in September, and are on the gifts golfers actually use page. Start from the person on gifts by golfer, from the number on gifts by budget, or from the season on golf Christmas gifts.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

When is Black Friday 2026?

Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving. Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30, 2026. Amazon's 2025 event ran November 20 through December 1; the 2026 dates get announced in November and this page will carry them.

What golf gear actually goes on sale for Black Friday?

In 2025: prior-generation rangefinders, GPS watches, launch monitors, premium bags, prior-season shoes and mid-price balls. The flagship tour ball and brand-new tech barely moved.

Do Titleist Pro V1 golf balls go on sale for Black Friday?

Rarely, and not by much — in 2025 the only deal was $10 off a two-dozen holiday box. If a dozen is the gift, buy it when you need it. Which dozen to buy.

Should I wait for Black Friday to buy a golf rangefinder?

If the gift can wait until late November, yes — the just-replaced generation is the classic markdown. If it can't, the live price today is the honest answer.

Will this page show the actual deals?

Yes. Verified price drops on products we already recommend get posted here when they go live, with every number pulled from the same 48-hour-checked Amazon data the rest of the site uses. No promo claims, no invented percentages, no countdown timers.
